It’s been two years since legendary comedian Umer Sharif greeted his adoring fans.

Today, fans are commemorating the second death anniversary of the King of Comedy who left a lasting mark on the Pakistani entertainment industry.

Early Life:

Born on April 19, 1955 in Liaquatabad, Karachi, he began his illustrious career at the age of 19, initially taking the name “Umer Sharif” and playing “Umer Zarif” on stage

Work:

He quickly rose to fame with outstanding performances in comedy stage plays like “Bakra Kistoon Pay” and “Buddha Ghar Pe Hai”, as well as iconic films like “Mr. 420”, “Mr. Charlie”, “Khandan, 2019″ ” and “Kick Sahib”

Omar Sharif’s contribution to Pakistan’s entertainment industry has earned him many awards and honours.

He is the only actor to win four Nigar Awards in one year and three Graduate Awards.

His exceptional service was recognized by the Government of Pakistan with the Pride of Performance Award.

Death:

In August 2021, Omer Sharif suffered a heart attack, and sought treatment in the United States. where he was flown from Pakistan on September 28, 2021.

due to his failing health. He was then transferred to Germany. Where he sadly passed away on October 2, 2021 in a hospital in Germany.
