X, formerly known as Twitter, has introduced two new subscription tiers to complement its existing offerings, including the existing $8/month Premium subscription, which now occupies the middle tier.
Basic Tier – $3/month
The most affordable X subscription is now called Basic, priced at $3 per month. Several advantages come with this membership, such as:

- Ability to create longer posts and extended videos
- Undo posting option
- Access to Reader for distraction-free reading of longer posts
- Background video playback
- Video downloading feature
- Enhanced reply interactions
- SMS two-factor authentication
- Encrypted direct messages (DMs)
- App icon customization
- Bookmark folders
- Personalized navigation and theme settings
- Top post feature in a dedicated profile tab
- Option to hide likes and subscriptions
Please note that the Basic tier does not include the coveted checkmark or ID verification.
Premium Tier – $8/month
The Premium subscription, available at $8 per month, offers all the features of the Basic tier and more, including:
- A 50% reduction in ads in both the “For You” and “Following” sections
- Enhanced reply boost
- The desired checkmark that can be hidden
- ID verification
- Access to the Creator Hub for post earnings and follower subscription funds
- Analytics access
- X Pro and Media Studio perks
Premium+ Tier – $16/month
The newly introduced Premium+ tier, priced at $16 per month, includes all the features of the Premium tier but stands out with the following:
- Ad-free experience in both the “For You” and “Following” sections
- The most substantial reply boost
