The Hollywood-inspired Hatta mountain landmark in Dubai has recently achieved a remarkable feat by breaking the record for the tallest landmark sign.

Perched atop the majestic Hajar Mountains, this monumental Hatta sign stands at a towering height of 19.28 meters, extending a warm welcome to visitors exploring one of the United Arab Emirates’ rapidly developing tourist destinations.

Dubai Holding’s impressive creation has now earned the prestigious title of “Tallest Landmark Sign” from the Guinness World Records.

Surpassing the famed Hollywood sign, which measures 13.7 meters, the Hatta landmark illuminates the night sky with its dazzling lights, adding a touch of glamour to its mountainous backdrop.

Reaching this towering landmark requires a thirty-minute hike from Hatta Wadi Hub, as it can only be accessed on foot. Nestled near the border of Oman, Hatta has already emerged as an adventure seeker’s paradise, offering an array of popular activities, including mountain biking and kayaking.

The Hatta Master Development Plan, a pivotal component of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, aims to further stimulate tourism, commerce, and investment in the region.

In October 2021, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, unveiled an ambitious vision for Hatta, encompassing plans for a beach, a new lake, a cable railway, multiple hotels, and an extensive 120-kilometer network of bicycle paths.

Shortly thereafter, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, established a supreme committee to oversee this monumental project.

In December, Dubai Tourism launched a campaign named “The Highlands of Dubai,” spotlighting the region’s temperate climate and natural splendor in the mountainous enclave.

The ongoing developments in Hatta are meticulously crafted to enhance the quality of life for its residents and provide unforgettable experiences for visitors. In February, Sheikh Mohammed paid a visit to the Hatta Souq, a blend of modern and traditional design, featuring various shops, kiosks, sales platforms, eateries, and recreational areas.

Moreover, plans are underway for the highly anticipated Hatta Beach Project, envisioned as an all-season tourist haven. It will feature the captivating Crystal Lagoon, an artificial lake with a pristine beach area, complete with leisure and entertainment amenities, shoreline activities, and an array of water sports.
