The Lahore High Court has recently granted bail to Khadijah Shah, a renowned fashion designer and PTI activist, in two cases of arson and vandalism. These incidents occurred at the Lahore Corps Commander House and the Askari Tower in Gulberg on May 9. The decision was made by a two-member bench, presided over by Justice Alia Neelam.

Bail Granted for Arson and Vandalism

Khadijah Shah was facing charges related to arson and vandalism in cases registered at Sarwar Road and Gulberg police stations. The Lahore High Court had been reviewing her bail application along with other suspects, including Usman Sharif, Muhammad Shahbaz, Suleiman Qadri, and Arbaaz.

Extension of Judicial Remand

Before this decision, the anti-terrorism court of Lahore had extended the judicial remand of Khadijah Shah and her co-accused in the Corps Commander House arson case until October 31. Judge Abhar Gul presided over this case, during which the police requested an extension in the remand, and it was granted. Khadijah Shah, along with Alia Hamza and others, will remain in judicial remand until the end of the month.

Additional Judicial Remand Cases

In addition to the Corps Commander House case, Khadijah Shah also faced a case at the Shadman police station. The court sent Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed to jail on judicial remand in this matter, adjourning the proceedings until October 31. The police produced them before the court after a five-day physical remand.

This development serves as a significant step in the legal proceedings involving Khadijah Shah and the other suspects in these cases, offering a fresh perspective on the ongoing judicial process.
