More than 1,000 healthcare professionals have voluntarily registered to travel to besieged G*za and provide essential medical treatment to thousands of patients as the crisis unfolds.

Commitment to Relief Efforts

Dr. Zahid Latif, Chairman of the Al-Khidmat Health Foundation, disclosed this information in a conversation with a local news outlet. Among the registered medical professionals, 400 are dedicated female doctors.

Diverse Medical Expertise

The registered healthcare experts encompass a wide range of specialties, including orthopedic, vascular, and general surgeons, anesthetists, pediatric surgeons, emergency and critical care specialists, and gynecologists.

Healthcare System Struggles in G*za

The Ministry of Health in G*za has reported a dire situation as the local healthcare system faces severe challenges. Numerous health facilities have been obliterated by Is*aeli airstrikes, and a significant number of doctors and paramedics have tragically lost their lives.

Moreover, more than 18,000 individuals are injured, with limited access to essential medical supplies.

Seeking International Coordination

The Al-Khidmat Health Foundation Chairman emphasized their communication with the World Health Organization (WHO) country office in Islamabad and the WHO EMRO head office in Cairo, Egypt. They have conveyed the willingness of Pakistani healthcare specialists to assist in G*za and requested guidance on when they can enter the conflict zone.

However, Al-Khidmat awaits official clearance from the WHO and their affiliated organizations to deploy healthcare professionals to the neighboring areas of I*rael for relief efforts in G*za.
