Moonis Elahi said that the Punjab government is not under any pressure from the other side (business) to register an FIR of attack on Imran Khan.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PMLQ) leader Chaudhry Moonis Elahi on Thursday said there is no influence on the Punjab government from the other party (enterprise) to register a First Information Report on the attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Speaking to a private TV channel, Moonis said they met Imran Khan on the issue in the presence of other PTI heavyweights. “We told them what was practical. If you go to the SHO and tell him you want to take action against a particular person(s), he won’t do it. There is a system, be it good or bad.
“We told them it could work however they wanted and asked them to take charge. We have offered PTI heavyweights to give us any SHO from their constituency, and we will post him there [Wazirabad], and they can register an FIR of their choice. No one moved with it, and they were quiet.” He said the situation was complicated when the videos of the attack suspects were leaked. “I spoke to several police officers, and they told me the system was hacked, but when I talked to a systems expert, he said nothing was hacked. He said a committee was working on the matter.
