Pakistani actress Sehar Shinwari gained significant attention for her initial comments preceding the recent Cricket World Cup match between India and Bangladesh.
Before the match, she took to social media, expressing her sentiments: “InshAllah, my Bangali Bandu will avenge us in the next match. I will go to Dhaka and have a fish dinner date with a Bangali boy if their team manages to beat India.”
However, her hopes were dashed as the Indian cricket team delivered a stellar performance, securing a seven-wicket victory over the Bangladesh cricket team. They successfully chased down a 257-run target in just 41.3 overs, marking India’s fourth consecutive win in the ODI Cricket World Cup and solidifying their position in the top four of the points table.
In response to the outcome, Sehar Shinwari had a different message for Bangladesh. She acknowledged their efforts with a social media post that read, “Well played Bengali Tigers. “At least you guys took the Indian team on their home field,” the widely shared message said.
The standout performer in the match was Virat Kohli, who showcased his remarkable skills by notching his 48th ODI century and 78th international century. He also crossed the 26,000-run milestone in international cricket, leaving an indelible mark in the cricketing record books. This achievement marked Kohli’s first World Cup century since 2015 and his third overall.
