Punjab Revenue Authority Takes Action
Pakistani TikTok sensation Nausheen Saeed, popularly known as Dolly, is facing legal difficulties as the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has frozen her bank account due to significant unresolved tax obligations. The frozen account amounts to a default of Rs10.6 million, and the authorities have also attached Rs.44 lakhs from the account to partially offset the outstanding liability.
Repeated Notices and Non-Payment
The PRA issued several notices to Dolly regarding her unpaid taxes, and the freezing of her account was deemed a necessary step after she failed to respond to these notices or settle her outstanding tax obligations. The PRA has made multiple attempts to encourage compliance, but non-payment has left them with no alternative.
Additional Measures Warned
The PRA has warned that they may take further actions, including property seizures and the freezing of other accounts, to recover the remaining tax amount from the defaulter.
