Change in UAE Visa Policy
Travel agents have confirmed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ceased issuing 90-day visit visas, marking a significant shift in their visa policy. Consequently, using their permit issuing online to apply for a three-month visit visa is no longer a possibility.
Revised Visa Options
Travelers planning to visit the UAE now have limited options, with one-month or two-month entry permits being the only available choices. The immigration authority’s helpline has also verified the discontinuation of three-month visas for visitors. An official spokesperson noted that the three-month entry permit was available until a few weeks ago but has since been terminated.
Current Visa Offerings
Travel agencies can currently process visa applications for durations ranging from 30 to 60 days.
Exception for UAE Residents
It’s important to mention that in May of this year, the UAE reintroduced the 90-day scheme as a leisure visa option, primarily for first-degree relatives of UAE residents. UAE residents still retain the ability to sponsor their parents or other relatives for entry into the country using the three-month visit visa scheme.
Visa Fees in 2023
Visa fees in the UAE for 2023 vary depending on the duration. A two-month job exploration visa costs AED 200, a 90-day visa is priced at AED 300, and a 120-day visa requires a fee of AED 400. Additionally, visa applicants are required to provide a financial guarantee in the form of a security deposit amounting to AED 1,000.
