University of Karachi to Offer Entry Test-Based Online Admissions for 2024

The University of Karachi has announced that it will conduct entry test-based online admissions for the academic year 2024, specifically for various undergraduate programs within the morning session.

Admissions are open for the following programs: BS, B.Ed (Hons), B.E., Doctor of Pharmacy (morning and evening programs), Doctor of Physical Therapy, and the Department of Visual Studies (morning shift).

Interested applicants can access detailed information, eligibility requirements, the online admission form, prospectus, and admission guidelines on the official website (www.uokadmission.edu.pk). The deadline for submitting admission forms with the necessary documents is November 08.

Notably, the University of Karachi has introduced a new four-year BS degree program in Sports Business Management.

Admissions are available for a range of four-year degree programs in various departments, encompassing Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Business Administration (BBA), B.E. Human nutrition and dietetics, education, environmental studies, food science and technology, chemical engineering, commerce, computer science (BSCS and BSSE), criminology, international relations, mass communication, public administration, petroleum technology, special education Education, Sports Business Management, B.Ed (Hons) Teacher Education, and Visual Studies. Furthermore, admissions are open for Doctor of Physical Therapy (five-year program) and Doctor of Pharmacy (five-year program) in both morning and evening shifts.

The Department of Visual Studies requires candidates to have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate or comparable examinations with a minimum score of 50 in order to admit them to the four- and five-year bachelor programs. Candidates with diplomas must possess at least 60 marks to qualify for the department’s aptitude test, scheduled for November 19. The admission list will be published by December 12.

Candidates applying for the Doctor of Pharmacy program should have at least 60% marks in the pre-medical intermediate examination or equivalent exams.

It’s important to note that students seeking self-finance or reserved seats must pass the entrance test; otherwise, their admission will not be considered.

The entry test for BS first-year admissions is scheduled for November 26, and the admission list will be released by December 03. The entry test will be administered by the Karachi University Assessment and Testing Service.

Admissions for open merit BS programs will commence on December 17.
